Dan Johnson Sr. was introduced to the towing industry, by way of the family business, at the age 6. Over the years he helped out around the shop, learned office procedures and gained a general understanding of the business. After high school Dan enlisted in the Marine Corps and specialized as a Motor Transport Operator and Instructor. In 1997 after 4 years of honorable service he returned home and started full time in the towing industry. In 2002 Dan purchased the business from his parents and continued to grow the business as well as attend training when possible.
He was a member of the Washington State Towing Association and served on the board for 15 years holding positions of President, Vice President, Expo Co-chair and Legislative Committee Co-chair. The latter included drafting legislation for the towing industry and testifying in front of various Senate and House Committees. In 2019 Dan sold the family business and started Dan Johnson Consulting with a goal of improving the knowledge and image of the towing industry.
At the conclusion of Dan’s Towing career he had achieved certification from Light Duty tow trucks all the way up to Rotator’s to include crane certification.
